Some countries like England have mostly fee free ATMS so you’ll
rarely find one that charges you. But in other countries you’ll have to
go hunting. It’s a good habit to read the information page before
accepting your cash to see if they have updated their policies. Also,
it’s almost always best to decline the ATMs conversion rates and let your bank
do the conversation as they will give you a much better rate.
Best to avoid Euronet ATMs if possible. You’ll find these in
tourist areas but they usually charge a flat €5 access fee and then large
conversion fees. They will likely be the
most expensive ATM in town.
